Keeping Your Music DAW Computer Safe, Secure, and Running Great.

I found a program called “Clean My Mac” that keeps my music production computer running well and safe. Some of the best feature are System Junk removal, Trash Bins cleaning, Malware removal, Optimization, Maintenance, Un-installers, Updater, and Extensions. There are other features but the ones I have listed are the most important to me.

SYSTEM JUNK

System Junk cleans you computer to achieve maximum performance and reclaim free space. Your computer is optimized by removing temporary files to free up space. It removes all kind of errors by getting rid of various items that result in wrong application behaviors. They include User Cache Files, System Cache Files, System Log Files, Language Files, and User Log Files. After a system Junk scan and cleaning you also get an option to clean and delete Universal Binaries.

TRASH BINS

This empties all the trash bins on your mac all at once. This avoids finder errors making sure trash bins are emptied disregarding any issues.

MALWARE REMOVAL

Well we all know what this is. This studies and removes any threats that my be hiding out on your computer.

OPTIMIZATION

This lets you manage Login Items that automatically log you in when you log into you Mac. Most login items are not required and can eat up system resources. Maintenance frees up ram and purgeable space. Your computer memory gets filled up with things that are not needed. This pushes out the bits in memory making room for the stuff you need at hand. Freeing up purgeable space cleans you drives of stuff that is not needed This stuff is not needed but only gets released when high demand on free space is required by your computer system. The Maintenance also repairs disk permissions and verify and repair any or all drives connected on you computer.

UNSTALLER

The uninstaller can uninstall applications correctly. This gets everything off you system and sometimes works better thaen the uninstall that comes with applications.

UPDATER

The updater finds and lets you know if an application has an update and can install the update for you.

EXTENTIONS

Extensions are code that make application call to code to do things. I would not remove them unless you know what you are doing. Some extensions are tied to application license verification. You applications may not start because a license cannot be verified.

In conclusion, Clean My Mac is a good program for fixing, cleaning, and keeping you Mac running great. I use it all the time. Its a very low resource consumption and not need to run in the background. You can run the application then turn it off. I have it running all the time.
